Previous Participants’ Experiences

I enjoyed the course and the challenges it posed. It also gave me real insights into how social protection works. In just 8 short months, I learned so much to improve my skill that I can use over a lifetime.
Dina Anjayani, Indonesia

The program has so far allowed me to choose a career to which I previously was quite unsure where it would take me, but which now I am fully ready to pursue and to start making my own way towards producing impact.
Vergil de Claro, Philippines

ISPS has opened a new horizon for me. I am truly grateful for such opportunity.
Pham Huy Tu, Vietnam

The program has given me a thorough view of social protection that I previously was not aware of. The multinational participants are also one of the best part of the program. By the end of the program, not only did I gain knowledge about it, but I also made a international network with colleagues from other social protection institutions.
Tati Denawati

Being a part of the ISPS 2016 paved way for me to have an overview of social protection in the context of Western Industrial Countries such as Germany and comparing it with the developing countries in Southeast Asia. It is still a long way to go before the Philippines can emulate their system as well as their attitude towards the importance of social insurances but this serves as an inspiration to do what is expected of me as an advocate of social protection. ISPS has been a life-changing experience – collaborating with different group settings, increasing global networks of lifelong friendship and having the big impact it has made on where I am now.
Guadalupe D.Castillo Social Security System, Philippines

Being a participant of ISPS 2015/2016, not only could we gain knowledge from experts, lecturers, practitioners and facilitators in the fields of social protection but ISPS proved to be a success melting pot. In terms of our mixed nations, cultures, personalities, backgrounds yet we managed to form a unique team for those 6–8 wonderful months.
From urban Berlin to sub-urban Heidelberg and sea-side Greifswald until calm Maastricht and attractive Muenster; study, field trips, and internship were all well designed. Definitely one of the best yet a challenging opportunity for me. For this upcoming Full Master Degree for Social Protection, it’s a chance I bet you don’t want to miss. It’s totally worth it…
Ovi Novianto, TASPEN, Indonesia
